What are Zoom Polls?

Zoom Polls is a tool available in Zoom that allows you to take polls and ask questions of all the attendees of your online meetings. Zoom Polls are completely customizable and allow presenters to gather information or feedback from their audience. What can poll in Zoom be used for?

Zoom polls are a great way to get information from your audience. Here are some things you can use a Zoom Poll for.

Gathering Feedback

If you're in a work meeting or hosting a webinar, Zoom Polls can help you collect valuable feedback from your audience. If you need to check for your audiences’ preferences, A Zoom Poll makes it easy to do so.

A Zoom Poll at the end of your webinar or work meeting can be useful to gather an audience’s opinions on how the experience was for them. You can then use the information gathered in a Zoom poll to improve for next time.

Check for Understanding

Zoom polls are great for quick check-ins with your audience. If you want to make sure that everyone is on the same page, you can send a Zoom Poll gauging their understanding. This is perfect for work meetings and webinars where you are sharing a new piece of knowledge with your audience.

What are the benefits of polling in Zoom?

Real-Time Feedback

Arguably the biggest benefit of a Zoom Poll is the ability to gather audience feedback immediately. When giving a webinar through Zoom or recording a podcast you can check in with your audience to make sure they understand the information you are providing. Frequent check-ins are a great way to gauge how effective your delivery is. It can also help presenters make slight adjustments to make sure that all participants are getting the most out of the presentation.

Audience Engagement

An active audience is an engaged audience. The more you engage with your audience the more likely they are to find value in what you are presenting. Consistently checking in with your audience will keep their attention where you want it to be. Polling frequently is a great way to make sure that members are actively listening and thinking about the content you are presenting.

Voice and Choice

Polling during a Zoom meeting, podcast, or webinar is a great way to give your audience a voice. Not only can a Zoom Poll be used to gauge understanding, but it can also be used to capture audience opinion so you can tailor your content to their needs.
